Peculiar Strangers.

A BOY FELL ASLEEP ON ME TODAY.
I was burying my head in my story when there's a soft thud on my shoulder.
I peeked sideways and saw a very tired soul.
It's not usually me, but i just let him continue sleeping.
I exchanged glances with his companion and she smiled to thank me for understanding.
I would have gladly given up my seat for her so that he can lie on her instead.
But both of us couldn't bear to disturb him until he woke up with a jerk after his bag dropped off his lap.
He appeared embarrassed but i pretended to ignore, as if i wasn't aware that he slept on my shoulder.
Both he and his companion alighted before my stop and we gave a quick smile before going our own ways.
