Your Mood:

I'm not cinderella yet, because i didn't drop my shoe. But this day i'll never forget.

I know the whole truth.
Who did what, who cancelled what, who rushed where, and who planned what.
Gosh, thank you alone can't express my gratitude.

Thank you Nicol, for the donuts, they were the first to cheer me up:) Then it was my great BF who got me the soda lollipop. And Joy, oh joy who brilliantly thought of the HAPPY meal. And finally, good ol' char who got me Modo and Domo. Ah, and Ely Chow who tried to clear up the tension, Qianying who cancelled her jap class for me,  Kent for developing my present and being the chauffeur of the day so that i can rest at ease that my friends all reach home safely, and Royston who could make it despite his other plans :D
I'm glad these friends were placed in my life, because they sure taught me alot in life. Be it patience love understanding or self-control (shopping) ah, i love them all so, so much.

I started off with a very bad day, i can say. Suddenly, everyone was either late, or couldn't make it for the morning plans. Poor Shan has already gotten the kite yet we did not make our way to punggol end but sat in subway for a damn long time until Ely Yingen and Stephanie came over to join us. And then we all stoned there, not sure whether we should head on with our initial plans or to do something else. I mean, honestly, i was irritated. Irritated, pissed or perhaps frustrated. It's your birthday you woke up hell early to find out everyone else is going to be late you end up someplace far just to slack at some place like subway which you can also do so someplace nearer you don't know why in the world you are there, at the place doing absolutely nothing, everyone was just looking at each other, didn't know what to do, and my fault, i kind of displayed my upset feelings. Then Nicol came over to pass me donuts, thanks buddy! And that cheered me a little. After which they all started surprising me little by little with small acts of love in hopes of making me smile. BF got that soda lollipop and suddenly there was a happy meal in front of me, encouraging me to be happy, and finally there was the sushi that looks like Domo which was all really sweet. I did eventually realize that on the positive side, i'm not spending my birthday alone, and everyone's putting in an effort to make me happy and just assuring me that everything will be better on that night. It's soothing that way, i guess.
After the time was up, everybody went their separate ways and Charmaine and Ying en fetched me home to change and told me to dress in formal attire, seven at indoor stadium. AND OF COURSE, THEY ESPECIALLY EMPHASIZED ON THE DO NOT BE LATE. Yet unfortunately, i came home to find my house being filled with my relatives. Which turned out that my mom had organized it especially to celebrate my birthday hence it caused me to be real late for the indoor stadium plans. I ended up crying in the toilet and my mom started scolding me for crying and not telling her what was going on. I just felt real bad that i promised and i couldn't even make it on time for their plans. And they had already told me NOT to be late, because it seems they were up to something, i have no idea what, but i thought i ruined their plans. In the end, my uncle came over to comfort me and voila, i got sixty bucks to spend on my birthday, and from my parents, $200. My tears came with a price, wow. Blessings in disguise. So when i'm late, naturally i had to call them to inform them i'm going to be late, which freaked them out to hear me crying because they too, have no idea what's going on. So kind kent offered to fetch me from my house.

In the end, i got into his car around eight plus. due to other major cock ups. And oh my gosh, that's where the surprise starts. I squinted my eyes to check if the person beside me was real. Yi jie was right beside me, god knows why really, until Charmaine explained that she was the mystery stalker who's stalking me and my date. Which she only just told me that Alvin has been waiting for me at the indoor stadium since six to make sure everything goes well and they have planned for me to dine with him that night, and i wasn't supposed to know until i went there myself at seven, Oh, yes i freaked out. Like obviously since i was dressed to the nines and i had no freaking idea that they got me a date on my birthday HAHA but it was hilarious now that i recall the drama in the car. (Psst, shan i'm damn touched you wore a skirt. ) Everyone was laughing at my reaction. Oh boy, it's going to be a loooongg night. It was awkward when i saw Alvin. That's all i can say. Everyone was shoving and nudging me telling me to go talk to him. I just apologized profusely for making him wait. And he was understanding enough to know that something cropped up. The both of us went ahead for dinner alone, and the rest who tagged along went to another restaurant beside ours i believe. I had an awesome dinner, and Alvin was so damn smart to take orders with the waiter straight, without revealing the menu to me so that i wouldn't have to see the price. It was damn ex i believe, but he wouldn't tell me how much. the food was awesome anyway, i'm sure it was worth it. Throughout dinner, Al and i caught up and he started giving my birthday present to me in pieces. The last two left me speechless after a bouquet of roses popped out of nowhere, and just as i read the card which told me to look behind, my birthday cake, especially made by alvin with a help of a friend was right behind me, so delicately and nicely decorated, I really didn't know what to say. Thanks? My expression, or rather reaction was the best thanks to him i guess. After that, we got the waiters to take pictures and after savoring a bite of the cake, i tookaway the cake, intending to share it with my friends later on. Just as i thought that my surprise from Alvin was coming to an end, he brought me to this corner, we sat down and oh my god he fished out his guitar and serenaded. Thanks Alvin, really thanks alot for that day! It might seem to have ended but no, we cabbed to SWISSOTEL before twelve to meet the rest of my friends, and i was surprised again, by Royston's attendance because he supposedly couldn't make it. ahhh i'm soooo soooo touched! When they saw me with the flowers and cake the girls swarmed around me like bumblebees and yes i was bombarded with questions. I wouldn't say it here. Then we all attempted to find an entrance into Marina square for our late night movie, Christmas carols 3D! which, totally didn't turn out well at all because i believe everyone was on the verge of dozing off and the 3D specs were seriously killing us with dizziness. FINALLY, we headed back to swissotel. I was already dying to see what they had been up to. However, some of them excused themselves and said they had to settle some stuff first so Kent Alvin, me steph and qianying went off to raffles shopping centre while the rest did what they had to do, i didn't know what. After a gazillion years, they led me to level sixty three of swissotel like oh my god i had no freaking idea, until they led me to our room, and LO AND BEHOLD. I wanted to cry, everything i asked for, all there. Night light decorations that looked like shining stars, and a tiny clubbing, joy's HOMEMADE DURIAN CAKE! and also eighty balloons and my present on the bed all in a box together with a huge teddy bear. I wouldn't have to tell you what happened after that, but we popped champagne, i ripped my presents, and shucks i was too, too touched.
I LOVE YOU GUYS OH MAN YOU MADE MY NIGHT.

IT'S THE BEST SURPRISE EVER
